Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Northbound website, app previews, Quick Reset and Journey flows, AI Wayfinder features, and related support services provided by Northbound AI. By using Northbound, you agree to these Terms.

Purpose

Northbound helps you find a realistic next step, decide whether a short Journey is useful, check in, adjust when conditions change, and optionally invite one trusted Personal Companion. The Wayfinder is AI decision support, not a human professional or autonomous agent.

When the Product Layer is enabled, Northbound may store and update adaptive product state, including Quick Reset sessions, Journey outcome, Current Reality, Current Focus, Next Moves, Results, Waiting items, and Journey Memory. The product may use that state to propose a clearer next action, a pause, a changed Journey outcome, or a closing summary.

Northbound is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, crisis, or emergency advice. Do not use Northbound where professional, emergency, safety, legal, medical, or regulated financial help is required.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the information you enter, the security of your account and device, and the decisions you make using Northbound. You should review AI suggestions before acting. Do not enter information that you do not have the right to share, and do not use Northbound where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.

AI and Companion boundaries

AI output may be incomplete or wrong and does not automatically change Journey state, confirm milestones, invite a Companion, or share private content unless a product flow allows the action. A Personal Companion sees only the Journey information you explicitly preview, share, or authorize through the product; a Companion does not see private context that you have not explicitly shared.

Consequential Journey changes, sensitive memory sharing, Companion updates, and closure decisions should require an explicit product action. Northbound may keep redacted product events and AI trace metadata for reliability, evaluation, and abuse prevention, but those operational logs are not a support channel for private Journey notes.

Availability

We may improve, change or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the app will meet every individual purpose.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the website or app, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, misuse AI features, upload content that infringes others' rights, or use Northbound in violation of applicable law. You may not use Northbound to create instructions for harm, abuse, harassment, evasion, fraud, or other unsafe or unlawful activity.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Northbound handles Journey content, Wayfinder messages, account/session data, analytics, support requests, and Companion visibility.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Northbound is provided as-is and without warranties. Northbound AI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
