Guided Journeys

Start alone. Invite someone when support would help.

A Guided Journey keeps the same Northbound rhythm: current situation, next move, check-in, and adjustment. The difference is that a trusted person can support, review, or confirm agreed parts of the route.

Principle

A person does not replace Wayfinder. Wayfinder does not replace a person.

Wayfinder keeps context, runs check-ins, proposes next options, and records what changed. A trusted person can bring judgment, accountability, review, and context that should stay human.

Who can support a Journey

Guided support is scoped to one Journey and one agreed role. It is not a marketplace and does not imply that every Journey needs a person involved.

Friend or colleague

Offer perspective on one next step without seeing private Wayfinder chat.

Teacher or coach

Review agreed work, checkpoints, or practice evidence inside a bounded Journey.

Parent or family member

Support a routine with clear visibility and permission boundaries.

Team lead

Set a structured onboarding route while leaving room for the participant's pace.

Visibility

Support only works when boundaries are visible.

Before another person is invited, the participant should know what can be seen, what requires confirmation, and how to continue privately.

The participant chooses what another person can see.Private Wayfinder messages and notes are not shared automatically.Shared updates should show the recipient and included fields before sending.A Companion cannot silently change visibility permissions.A Companion only sees the context the participant explicitly shares.

Current MVP boundary

Guided does not mean controlled by default.

Northbound can describe support, review, and confirmation patterns now. Deeper Companion-led control levels remain a future product layer and must be explicit before a participant starts.

Examples without marketplace framing

These examples explain the support model. They do not promise paid Journey publishing, public rankings, or payout mechanics.

Teacher-led reading Journey

The teacher sets the book, checkpoints, and review moments. The participant chooses the daily rhythm and reports what actually happened.

Interview preparation

A coach defines practice topics and mock interview checkpoints. Wayfinder helps between sessions with small next steps.

Family routine

A parent agrees on a routine and safe constraints. The Journey adapts when the real situation changes.

Team onboarding

A team lead sets required documents, introductions, and checkpoints. The participant moves at a workable pace inside those constraints.

Next

Start with the situation. Add support when it has a shape.

Start with a private next step or choose a reusable Journey example. Invite a person only when their perspective, review, or confirmation would make the next step clearer.
